Vendors

Vendors are an important part of our fly fishing/fly tying show. They have some new goodies and some things not available in regular shops. Vendors with big setups started working on Wednesday. Others came in Thursday and early Friday to be ready for the show opening at 11:00 am Friday.

Volunteers

Work on a show like this one starts many months before the doors open, but the manual labor really got rolling on Wednesday before the opening on Friday. Volunteers from WSCFFF fly clubs started putting the tables together and putting up signs. Even after the tables were up the room still looked empty. Slowly it started filling in.

President Carl Johnson thanks the clubs that volunteered for specific tasks at this year's Fair:
Alpine Fly Fishers and Puget Sound Flyfishers for assisting with the Auction and Raffle,
Evergreen Fly Fishing Club for covering the hospitality for the fly tiers,
Fidalgo Fly Fishers who hosted the FFF Fly Fishing course,
Northwest Fly Anglers for handling the registration booths,
Spokane Fly Fishers for Friday's dinner and the coffee in the kitchen;
Wenatchee Valley Fly Fishers who gave kids tying lessons and helped on the entomology.

The main room sure looks empty

The entrance will be here someplace

Youth

Students gathered for a discussion on aquatic insects.

Com pairing insects in dishes to identification cards.

Drawing a stonefly. In much higher resolution, the drawing looked very accurate.

Look and learn.

Is it fun?? Yes!
