THE FLY TYING GROUP HAD A FUN CHALLENGE
AT THE 2010 FFF FLY FISHING FAIR AND CONCLAVE

The challenge: tie two flies using supplied buffalo fur:
One was to be a presentation fly and the other a fishing fly

The tier of the flies judged the best would receive $150 worth of buffalo meat from the supplier of the fur:
Durham Ranches, Inc., John Flocchini, Buffalo Ranch Manager

Unfortunately the flies were treated roughly during shipping, and some of the flies were damaged.
They were steamed when needed, and an attempt was made to marry damaged wings. However, no other grooming was attempted. Also, there was no post processing of the pictures except for cropping and optimizing for the web page.
